Turkish Airlines’ First Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is in the air


ISTANBUL, June 30, 2019: Turkish Airlines has recently announced that within the next four years, it will be adding 30 more 787-9 Dreamliner Boeing Flights in its young and fast growing fleet out of which 4 will be added by the end of August 2019 itself. 

These Dreamliner flights which are a combination of supreme interior designs and world-class technologies are more fuel-efficient and have a larger space for cargo which will allow Turkish Airlines make a profitable growth over the coming years.

Boeing has by far received 1400 orders from 80 customers around the world for its 787 flights making Dreamliner the fastest selling wide body jet in the aviation history. 

According to M. İlker Aycı, Turkish Airlines’ Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, “Turkish Airlines has been committed to continuously expanding its range of services on and off-ground as it grows in reach and fly to more international destinations than any other carrier in the world. With this goal in mind, we’re thrilled to reach new horizons with the addition of the 787-9 Dreamliner to our fleet flying from our new home, Istanbul Airport.”

The first 787-9 Dreamliner Boeing Flight of Turkish Airlines will be flying on July 8th, from Istanbul to Antalya and its first international flight will be from Istanbul to Denpasar (Bali). Turkish Airlines will be using its acquired Dreamliner flights for long-haul exotic international routes.
