Kathmandu,15 Dec 2014: Government service will now be available for 12 hours a day with effect from Tuesday, in offices where the pressure is high.
The 12-hour service will be available from Morang of eastern region, Kathmandu of central, Rupandehi of western, Banke of mid-western and Kailali of far-western development region. The provision will be gradually expanded to other districts, according to Under-secretary at the Ministry of General Administration Bishnu Hari Upadhyaya.
Issuing of citizenship certificate, land registration and survey, registration of vehicles, ownership handover and driving license, labour permit, company registration, payment of power and water service tariff and the like will be available 12 hours a day instead of the existing 8 hours, said Under-secretary Upadhyaya.
