Golbazaar (Siraha), 17 October 2014: The Armed Police Office netted two persons with 43.5-kg marijuana from the Gagan river bank in Jamdaha VDC in the northern belt of Siraha district.
The arrested are Buddha Yadav of Lalpur VDC and Nar Bahadur Rai of Risku VDC-2 of Udayapur.
The police arrested them while they were carrying two plastic bags packed with contraband marijuana, said Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Golbazaar, Bidur Bhatatrai. The contraband was being smuggled to India through the Gagan River.
He said the police got success to nab them at 11 pm last night acting on a special tip-off.
Preparation is on to hand them over to Nepal Police for further investigation and action.
