Kathmandu, December 19, 2018: Ujyalo Foundation has inaugurated EmpowHER Junior which is the one and only idea incubation and leadership institute for young female leaders of age group 12 -16 years in Nepal. Thirteen young girls got selected for the incubation program. The selection interview for the program took place on December 8 at Alpas Cafe in Lazimpat followed by an orientation on December 15. The theme for this year is ‘Girls with Grit: Rise Together.’
The orientation program started off with opening remarks by Ekta Lamichhane, Program Manager of Ujyalo Foundation, giving a brief introduction about Ujyalo Foundation and overall EmpowHER Junior program. This year, 5 participants have been awarded partial or full scholarship. The scholarships are provided to those who need financial assistance and come from marginalized backgrounds. The closing remarks were delivered by the Founder and Executive Director of Ujyalo Foundation, Amuda Mishra.
