May 17, 2015: Chairman of the CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli, has stressed that efforts of government on relief distribution were not effective.
Today on the occasion of the 22nd Madan Ashrit Memorial Day at a programme organized at party headquarters, Balkhu, Chairman Oli said that the party, though a coalition partner, was unaware of from where the relief was coming and how it was distributed.He added all sides should be included in the relief distribution process.
General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel also said on the occasion that the people’s multi-party democracy advocated by late leader Madan Bhandari was still relevant. The activities of the government were made public through websites said Deputy Prime Minister, Bam Dev Gautam, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the party.
Senior leaders including Chairman Oli garlanded the photos of late general secretary Bhandari and organization department chief Jivraj Ashrit who died in a jeep accident occurred at Dashdhunga of Chitwan on Jestha 3, 2050 BS.
