Pokhara, Sept 24: CPN (UML) leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has asserted that Nepalese were themselves capable to decide about the domestic politics and welfare of the nation.
While addressing a tea reception programme organized by the CPN (UML) Kaski Constituency No-4 on the occasion of the arrival of the new constitution, here today, leader Nepal criticized the immature, uncivilized and hurried reaction a mature democracy like India showed towards Nepal after the promulgation of the new constitution.
He assured that no anti-Indian and anti-Chinese activities would be allowed in the country. But no country should try to make Nepal its puppet in return for its support and cooperation, Nepal said. He further urged the neighbour not to meddle in the domestic affairs hurting the dignity of the people.
Former Prime Minister Nepal pointed out the need of unity among the political parties even to take the country on the path of prosperity and development as the transition phase ended with the promulgation of a new constitution.
He added that the nation would move ahead as per the accepted governance system soon after the formation of a new government.
Leader Nepal claimed that the new constitution has included the issues of federalism, inclusiveness, social justice and these issues were of the Madhesi people as well.
