Kathmandu,25 Nov 2014: Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Affairs of the USA, Nisha Desai Biswal paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at the PM’s official residence at Baluwatar in the capital this morning.
Issues related to mutual benefit and cooperation, bilateral relations, peace process and constitution drafting process were discussed in the meeting, said PM’s external affairs advisor Dr Dinesh Bhattarai.
Assistant Secretary Biswal wished for the SAARC member countries to be benefited from the 18th SAARC Summit going to be held in Kathmandu on November 26.
Similarly, Assistant Secretary Biswal inquired about the new constitution and peace process.
In response, PM Koirala said that all parties were committed to timely constitution as the country was in an important phase of constitution drafting and the peace process therefore, it would be promulgated on time.
Assistant Secretary Biswal has arrived Kathmandu as an observer for the 18th SAARC summit.
