US Government To Help Nepal In Current Disaster Situation : US President

May 15, 2015: Regarding the current disaster situation in Nepal president of the United States of America, Barack Obama has send a message stating that the US government and the people were ready to provide necessary support for the relief and rehabilitation.

Today in a meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala this message was conveyed by the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Desai Biswal. Biswal said that the US would support Nepal based on its experience regarding how the future reconstruction could be made more resilient and wished Nepal success in this work. US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W Bodde was also present during the meeting.

During the meeting the US official informed the Prime Minister that the US was ready to offer assistance for relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction remaining within Nepal’s priority in this distressing situation as per Dr Dinesh Bhattarai, the Prime Minister’s foreign affairs advisor.

Similarly, discussions on the ongoing search for the US Marine helicopter which has gone missing for three days and the US official was briefed on all efforts being made for searching for the missing chopper were also held on the meeting.
