Kathmandu, 15 Feb, 2015:On the occasion of Valentine day, Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) organized “Love letter and Couple Run Competitions” in Bhugol park, Newroad. The program was organized to express our love and concern about our beloved Earth and Environment.

10447800_10205719536048383_1958360508690909541_nNYCA organized a Love letter for nature writing completion along with Couple Run. More than 100 people directly watched the program. As the program was divided into two half; love letter narration and Couple Run. According to Event Coordinator of NYCA, Lalmani Wagle, there were more than 50 letter expressing their deep love and affection about the Nature from all corner of Nepal. He added, as there was no any limitation for writing a Letter of Nature, NYCA received letter form students of class 6 to Master’s level.

The selection of winner was judged by the 4 jury which includes, Benju Sharma (literature), Prakash Basnet (Environmentalist), Binay Ram Bhatta (Celebrity), Shankar Pd Sharma (NYCA Coordinator/Youth activist). More than 20 couples participated in the Couple Run competition. In the competition one leg of couples were tied with each other’s leg and were asked to compete with other couples. Top 3 winner of both competition were awarded.

Meanwhile, Campaign and Media coordinator of NYCA, Regan Sapkota said,” both the completion were organized for certain cause and objectives. “Love letter for Nature” was organized to express the love of youths towards mother Earth through their pen and plus to enhance their skill of environmental literature.” He adds,” while Couple Run was organized to develop mutual coordination and love. As trust and coordination is necessary between the partners to reach the Global Climate target. And as it plays a significant role, so NYCA is tried to deliver the message of “importance of trust and coordination” through this running competition.”
