Kathmandu, 16th March, 2016: Vayodha Hospitals is to provide medical support team in the match to be held between Nepal and Namibia for ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC).

Nepali cricket team is scheduled to play against Namibia on 16th and 18th April, to be held in Tribhuwan University cricket ground. Nepal Cricket Council (NCC) granted the responsibility to Vayodha Hospitals, located nearby TU in Balkhu, for providing the medical support for the matches.

ICC has completed the renovation of the stadium and improved the security system on the ground. For this, ICC Asia Development Manager Bandula Warnapura had been in Nepal to investigate the stadium. Nepal Cricket team got an opportunity to play the match in its home ground only after ICC was ensured of the improvement of the ground and security system there by National Sports Council of Nepal.

This is the first international match held in Nepal in the last three years. Prior to this, ACC Twenty 20 cricket had been organized in March 2013.

Because of some disputes in Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and poor physical infrastructure of the ground and delay in reconstruction and renovation along with security reasons, international cricket matches couldn’t be held in that duration. Because of this, Nepal had lost an opportunity to play on its home ground in a match against Papua New Guinea under WCLC in last November. ICC had conducted the match between Nepal and Papua New Guinea in UAE.
