VDC BUILDING GIVING SHELTER TO VICTIM OF LANDSLIDE

Bajhang, Aug. 6: Members of 10 households in Kanda VDC of the district are presently taking shelter at the VDC building due to fear of landslide burying their house.

Likewise, some of the family members have set up tents in open ground to save themselves from being swept away in landslides likely due to the incessant rainfall since the past three days.

People living in ward nos 4 and 5 of the VDC have moved to safer locations due to fear of landslides from the hill above their homes, according to local resident Gorakh Bahadur Bohara.

Singebir Kami, Dhan Bahadur Kami, Jamul Kami, Talman Kami, Pentu Kami, Bom Bahadur Bohara and Min Bahadur Bohara and their family members are presently living in temporary shelters.
