Myagdi (Beni), December 04: Touristic villages along the Annapurna trekking circuit were benefitted after the internet service was installed there.

As the tourists season has begun, the hotels along the famous Annapurna trekking circuit have upgraded themselves with the wireless internet service wi-fi in view of attracting more guests.

The hotels in Biredhati, Ghandruk, Ghodepani and Tatopani among others stations along the Annapurna region have equipped themselves with this facility which they believe will bring cheers to the tourists visiting here.

After the Nepal Telecom set up ADSL and Wi-Max internet relay station there, the hotels here installed the services.

The hoteliers here believe that the number of guests have surged following the availability of this latest service in their hospitality.

“The free wi-fi is the prerequisite to any guests be it national or international, seeking an accommodation in the hotels here, said Devendra Gurbuja, a tourism entrepreneur in Punhill.

“Guests do not want to put foothold in the hotel lacking wi-fi service,” explained Gurbuja.

It’s a delightful experience for any guests to surf internet in the lap of nature and against the backdrop of enthralling Himalayas, according to him.

The 3G mobile service has also recently reached at Ghodepani and Tatopani.

Annapurna region receives a large number of trekkers, standing at some 70,000 annually, according to a statistic.
