Saptari, Sept 6: With the rise in temperature and floods in the Tarai belt, the number of viral fever and jaundice patients has gone up in Saptari distrct.
The number of patients visiting the district hospital for treatment is high.
Senior Lab Assistant at Kalyanpur Primary Health Centre Bidhyananda Chaudhary said the people coming for viral fever and jaundice treatment are more than before.
He said nearly 130 patients visit the health centre daily. Of the patients, 70 per cent have complained of viral fever.
Likewise, doctors said nearly 50 patients of viral fever and typhoid are taking treatment from Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital, Rajbiraj.
Doctor Tek Narayan Mandal said patients of viral fever and typhoid have increased unusually due to change in weather.
