23rd June, Andhra Pradesh, India:The 1st International Yoga day was marked at BVC Engineering College, Odalarevu with 100 participants. The program started with speeches from the yoga scholar followed by practicing basics of yoga. During the program Prof. A. Rama Krishna delivered the welcome speech.
Sri Rama Chandra Murthy highlighted the history and Importance of yoga to our life stating that “it’s not a big deal to learn yoga but the important thing is to implement yoga in our life and as long as we are alive, we should practice yoga to make every day a yoga day.â€
Similarly, R.V.V.L. Narayana Rao, who has been practicing yoga since 20 years, taught the basics of yoga to the participants that included Pranayama and various Asana. All the participants practiced yoga with him.
Furthermore, the Principal, Prof. Dr. DSV Prasad and Coordinator S.T. Naidu also addressed the Program.
The program was followed by the experience sharing and question answer session at the end. Two Participants; Rajat Pandey and Rabindra Yadav made a pledge to follow Yoga as their daily activity after the session.
