Kathmandu, February 17, 2019: The women’s Cricket national team left for Thailand on February 16 to participate in 2019 ICC Women’s Qualifier Asia salted for February 18- 27 in Bankok.
The tournament will be played among 7 teams – Nepal, China, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Malaysia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
Nepal will play first match with Malaysia on February 19 at the Terdthai Cricket ground before facing hosts Thailand at the Asian Institute of Technology ground two days later. Likewise, Nepal will play another match with UAE on February 22, while the play next match with Hong Kong two days later and Nepal will face China and Kuwait on February 25 and February 27 respectively.
Head Coach Binod Das said that the team was ready for the event, “our target in Thailand is to win the tournament and I believe the team is capable of doing so,” said Das.
