Word Warriors’ Spoken Word Poetry Instructor Workshop: Upcoming venture for aspiring poets

 Kathmandu, 20 December 2017: ‘Spoken Word Poetry Instructor Workshop’, an insightful seminar for aspiring poets is all prepared to be launched on 23 December 2017. Word Warriors, Nepal’s first spoken word poetry group, has planned to launch this workshop at Quixote’s Cove, in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. The workshop will run through January 13, 2018.

As per the information of the organizers, anyone passionate about poetry can participate in the workshop. Participants will be guided by the basics of spoken word poetry to the advanced lessons related to the form. This workshop will lead a way to select few poets who will bag an opportunity to work as instructors for the Word Warriors.

In order to pave the way for the workshop, the applicants must have written and performed poetry in the past and should be passionate and willing to do the same.

Word Warriors are using spoken word as a regenerative, expressive and empowering tool, and want to bring out more stories and issues of the Nepali people and utilize its potential to initiate dialogues for social change. Over the years they’ve been trained under the international spoken word and have many new members join their society.
