“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.” – Swami Vivekananda.
World Youth Day is celebrated by young people, organized by the Catholic Church. About the origination of World Youth Day, it was initiated by Pope John Paul II in 1985. The idea was influenced by the Light- Life Movement that has existed in Poland since the 1960’s, where during day camps Catholic adults celebrated the camp of more than thirteen days and is named “day of network”. In 9886, World Youth day was first celebrated, and then it was decided to be held every Palm Sunday in their dioceses. It was then listed to be one of the annual youth event. It is celebrated in every two or three year at the worldwide level each a few years at various areas. The 1995 World Youth Day shutting Mass in the Philippines set a world record when five million participants gathered together for a solitary religious occasion which made the biggest number of individual. Then again in 2015, two years later, a record outperformed when six million went to a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis in the Philippines.
In 1984 at the end of the Holy Year of Redemption, more than 300,000 youngsters from around the globe received to the welcome of His Holiness John Paul II for an International Jubilee of youth on Palm Sunday in St. Subside’s square. Watching out to the groups who addressed his welcome he stated, “What a phenomenal scene is exhibited on this phase by your get-together here today! Who asserted that the present youth has lost their feeling of qualities? Is it truly evident that they can’t be depended on?” It was at this assembling the Holy Father endowed to the adolescent what is currently known as the World Youth Day Cross, to be conveyed all through the world as an image of the adoration for Christ for humankind.
The young generations is the foundation of any nation. This day is celebrated every 2 or 3 year, to address the role of the youth. This day is celebrated in August 2. It is commemorated in the memory of all the youngster to raise awareness of challenges and problems. To make this occasion more successful, I think we can do more rally, sessions, and conferences to motivate other youths as well as make a greater impact in our society. Also, we can make youths engaged in activities like planning an event and share the objectives, logo or pictures through social sites. I would like to encourage and organize a scope of worldwide youth voice where they get a chance to be involved in more research about universal arrangement on the earth, environmental changes etc. I think in Youths Day we can raise awareness by creating information sheets and placing them in school and community centers.
