Yantra Seventh edition to Start


Kathmandu, February 25, 2019: Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) are organizing 7th edition of yantra as “Yantra 7.0, Science, Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival”, starting from February 11, 2019 to February 21, 2019. Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN), is not-for-profit, non-governmental organization continuously working in the field of robotics and electronics automation since its establishment (2010).

On the date of  5th February 2019, the regional version of  Yantra- Mini Yantra had been successfully conducted by RAN-Farwest team. The event included five categories, including Fly Dhangadhi-Drone Race, Manual Akhada, National League – Football, Root to Technology – Manual Racer, Line Follower Race.

57 teams participated from different Schools, Colleges and Engineering Colleges. During this festival we conducted International Robotics Competition, RoboBusiness Cup, Yantra Learning (Machine Learning Competition), Yantra Kids, Mini Yantra (Western Robotics Competition at Pokhara and Farwest Robotics Competition at Dhangadhi) and Yantra Incubation (3 months Product Incubation and  3 months Business Incubation) starting from February 11.

Supporters/Sponsors of Yantra 7.0 Science, Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival.Opening of Yantra 7.0 Science, Tech and Entrepreneurship Festival  took place at Russian Center of Science and Culture, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu on February 11, 10:00 AM onwards. The program was inaugurated by Honorable Secretary Mr. Krishna Raj BC as Chief Guest for Yantra Opening.

On the same day we celebrated Yantra Space Party as part of our achievement in launching Nepal’s first  satellite through talk session and panel discussion about space and robotics where different stakeholders Dr. Rabindra Dhakal, Prof. Dr. Ramesh Kumar Maskey, Mr.Kapil Dev Regmi and Mr. Suresh Bhattarai shared about the breakthrough and milestones for Nepal in the field of Space and Robotics and current progress on the domain.
