Growing up in our conventional society we are continuously asked a questions like, “What is your aim, what you aspire to be in future?” by our seniors, relatives and peers. We were meant to answer what profession we will be belonging to in our future for our existing. We used to come up with meteoric response like doctors, engineers, pilot and so on. If the concept on what we really want to do is clear, we can chase them easily.

So what actually Career Development is? It is about chasing a profession and earning for our living. It’s basically about developing the leadership, transforming oneself to a better person and going together forward with a task. And it’s not a one-step thing, but it requires hard work and passion.

Career Development is a process that prepares young people to meet their challenges of adolescence and adulthood through progressive series of activities. It is crucial decision for our future because it gives us the directions to life. It’s always said that career just complete our life. Any company or organizations just do not hire any new individuals from the market, rather they hire an experienced person because experienced people don’t need to be trained and complete their work in effectively. Nowadays, youth are career conscious and wants to work with the company where they can showcase their talent and build stairs for their successful future. When the youth work, they upgrade their skills which helps them meet the current demand. Youth need to be clam and they need to work hard according to companies will.

Career development is valuable in our life. If we want to achieve the peak of success then we have to work from early age. When youth starts concentrating in their career development, they get better guidance in their career decisions. Youth gets to know about their interest, objective and understand how to shape their career. Youth should take time to think about their career development because many professionals have failed. Providing constructive career development opportunities to youth is one of the most cost effective way to achieve the following benefits; retails top talent, fill internal skills and role gaps, and generate knowledge transfer and retention. Quality career development activities enables youth to develop these competencies and achieve these youth development outcomes. Through self-career exploration, career planning and management skills building, youths gain work readiness and career specific skills.

Realizing those above facts, it is clear that career development has played vital role in the period of youth these days. Thus, choosing a career is one of the most important decisions anyone will make in life. It’s about deciding what you will do to make a living. To start with, think about the amount of time we spend. The importance of selecting a career with which we are satisfied cannot be overemphasized.
