Youth farmers in Baglung get 2.4 million grants for animal husbandry

Baglung, 7 June, 2015 : Rs. 2.4 million grants have been received by the youth that are involved in commercial animal husbandry  in Baglung district this year.

In a special youth targeted program,  the farmers were given the amount to rear cows, buffaloes, goats and pig from the District Livestock Office.

Senior Livestock Development Officer Dr Gopal Giri said, “The youth farmers are encouraged to commercial animal husbandry after the move run under the youth-targeted programme.”

the amount has helped a lot for the farmers, said Hari Rana, a farmer who received the grant for animal keeping. He added, “The scheme has uplifted our pride to the occupation. But, the amount should be given only to those who can fully utilize it.”
