The first edition of Growth Innovation Leadership Summit in Kathmandu seeks to Explore Business Strategies, Innovation, Disruption, and Corporate Growth in Nepal

Kathmandu, November 8, 2016: Digital transformation and disruption are global buzzwords, spreading rapidly across industries. Nepal, being a developing country, needs to comprehend and keep up with the “pace of change” in the midst of its political, environmental, and social issues. With this line of thought, Frost & Sullivan is going to organize the first edition of its flagship event, Growth, Innovation and Leadership Summit – ‘GIL 2016: Nepal’ on November 9 in Kathmandu.

Mr. Aroop Zutshi, Global President & Managing Partner, Frost & Sullivan will inaugurate the programme along with Mr. Prabhakar SJB Rana, Chairman of Soaltee Hotel Ltd. At the Summit, Zutshi will share his perspective on surviving the future business environment, both as an individual and as a company, since innovation has now become critical for success. He will further discuss visionary innovation, corporate growth, digital disruption, and how to cope with uncertainties arising out of the disruption. “Nepal is striving to graduate beyond the Least Developed Country (LDC) status by 2021. Similarly, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala the CEO of PEMANDU and Managing Director of the BFR Institute, a unit in the Prime Minister’s Department in Malaysia working on spearheading the country’s transition towards high income status by 2020, will deliver a Keynote speech. Idris Jala is a renowned transformation guru in turning around companies’ performance and today travels around the world assisting governments deliver their very own transformation journeys. In his keynote he shall be sharing the experience of Malaysia’s Transformation Journey.

Manoj Menon, Senior Partner & Asia Pacific Managing Director, Frost & Sullivan will lead a think tank on business model innovation and growth opportunities in Nepal. He will share the best practices to adopt and accomplish growth in today’s highly competitive market.

Meanwhile, Binod Chaudhary, President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries and Chairman of Chaudhary Group will be felicitated with Frost & Sullivan’s prestigious 2016 Growth, Innovation and Leadership Award. He will be recognized not just for his perseverance, diligence and leadership, but also for making a significant contribution in the sectors of health, education, youth empowerment, and employment in Nepal.
