Blood Donation and December Beats KAF

Kathmandu, December 11, 2018: Two major pre-events December Beats and Blood Donation Program set the ball rolling for KUSOM Annual Festival 2018. The events happened on December 7th and 9th in alignment with the theme of ‘We Celebrate’ and ‘We Care’ respectively.

December Beats, which was done in collaboration with Events Club, witnessed an enthusiastic presence from over 300 participants in 7 Seasons, Jhamsikhel. The event began with 14 musical performances from students of Kathmandu University School of Management. Understanding the fact that humor is crucial in today’s world, December Beats also had a segment of stand-up comedy performed by Mr. Ayush Shrestha and Mr. Aadarsha Mishra. Mr. Sushant KC had been the star performer of the event and the audience seemed to relish in his musical delights.

Likewise, Blood Donation Program was done in collaboration with Social Club, with the purpose of giving back to the society. The blood donation program was supported by Red Cross Balkumari. The program which began at 11 a.m. and ended at 3 p.m. had 77 members as donors. The blood donation program was done keeping in mind the current blood shortages that can be seen in the blood bank.

As stated by Sonali Agrawal, KAF 2018 one of the coordinator, “Events like these bring the Kusomites together and help them connect with each other and the society in a better way. These events help us reflect on our common vision of creating a better today and tomorrow with the feeling of togetherness.”

On December 12, a panel discussion will take place about Nepal’s Forex volatility and External Sector Risk, which will help all the aspiring management students, entrepreneurs and bankers to understand Nepalese market in relation to with the foreign market and currency.
