16 August, 2015: On the auspicious occasion of International Youths Day, Youth Mela, where various youths related organizations were exhibited, was held in Staff College on 15 August, 2015.

“The prime motive of Youth Mela is to help youths develop networking and help  their initiations to be showcased” says Mr. Kanchan Kharel, the organizer of Youth Mela. The event was a learning platform for those who have never done something extra on their own before. Many visitors especially youths, visited Youth Mela for knowing about the works done by the active youths related organization.

Besides exhibition, there were musical shows, dances, food stalls and a film show by Onion Films. Moreover, there was a rose sharing moment with a theme of sharing happiness.

The event was in many regards assisting as organizations got a chance to talk about their roles and the works they have been doing. Approximately 25 stalls were set including Youth Initiative, Child Unity, National Volunteering Nepal, We Inspire Nepal,Yuwa, Smart Club etc.

Youth Mela was supported by UNFPA, VSO,Restless Development, Yuwa, Skillshare Nepal, Youth Initiative and We Inspire Nepal whereas Glocal Khabar, DREAMS and Onion Films were the media partners for the event.

Mr. Saunak Bhatta, a motivational speaker said that visiting Youth Mela is a golden platform to eliminate any negativity that comes into our mind and refresh our mind with a plan of doing something extra. While reaching out visitors’ mind, they said that they explored Youth Mela for learning what youths like them have been doing. They further clarified that they felt regret on staying inactive during the past days and Youth Mela has motivated them to do something extra something creative on their own.
