Expressing Oneself in Story (Youth LitFest Diaries – Day 2)

Kathmandu, August 19, 2016: The second day of the grand extravaganza, Nepal Youth Literature Festival 2016, turned out to be a grand day for the lovers of literature. The day offered an inspiring oasis for those writers aspiring to express themselves through stories. As story is considered to be the most effective literary weapon to pour down one’s inner emotions, what the organizers did on the day was to simply give a push to the participants in order to help them explode out.

The story writing competition took off its flight at 12:00 carrying the writers deep into the endless sky of their fantasies and imagination finally helping them land in reality after two hours at 2:00.

Also, while the writers were scribbling their stories, in the assembling hall- the interested lovers of literature were actively indulged into the talk programmes with the two gigantic writers in the nation.

From 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, Mr. Amar Neupane, the great Madan Puraskar winning writer elegantly quelled the queries of the participants citing awe-inspiring literary metaphors which inevitably struck deep into the emotions of every listener. He proved himself a magician of words.

From 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm, the wonderful romantic writer Mr. Subin Bhattarai graced the programme. The participants actively asked him with wonderful questions. He talked about love and romance, and its role in literature. The audiences easily fell under the spell of his enticing personality.

At 4:00 pm, the second day of the festival came to an end, leaving everyone to wait for about 18 long hours for the third day of this mega programme.
