King’s Utsav 2015: Second day of the Mega Event Finale

Kathmandu. Jan 9, 2015: King’s Utsav is the event organized by King’s College. The preliminary rounds started from January 2nd and ended on January 7th. The main event started from 8th January and will end on 10th at United World Trade Center, King’s College Program Hall and the Army Officers Club at Sahid Gate respectively. It incorporates various activities under three different themes- education, creativity and entertainment.

The final round for Mad Act was held today where all the participants from different colleges performed crazily. They were judged by Shankar Rijal, writer at Garden theatre, Mr. Rupak Kharel, artist at Garden Theatre and Mr. Kamal Pyasi Devkota, theatre and movie artist.

Today was also the finale of 60 seconds movie competition where the students were required to make a short film based on any theme they chose. They were judged on their creative direction and precision skills by Mr. Umesh Shrestha, co-founder of Presentation Stuffs, Mr. Narendra Mainali, cinematographer and Mr. Keshab Pandey, film director.

In the duration of these events, thematic photography contest was held. The theme was “Paradigm shift in infrastructure”. The judges were Bijay Gajmer, photo journalist of Republica and Bikash Karki, photo journalist of Annapurna Post.

Treasure Hunt was the last competition of the day where the teams were to search for the clues that were hidden and whoever found it first were the winners.

And the results of these final rounds of different contest would be announced on the final day of this mega event on January 10th, tomorrow, at Army Officers’ Club. Everyone is invited to attend the Grand Finale of King’s Utsav.
