Since the early morning, People had been to Gaighat in Pokhara to fetch pure water (Jal). On the occasion, a holy walk had been organized, as part of which people were been singing, dancing and chanting some Mantras on their way to the Kedareshwor Temple in Lakeside, where the celebration ended.

A group of 35 volunteers from Hamro Crew Members, an emerging crew among the four crews in Kaski, as well as other scout troops went to Gaighat, early morning today. No sooner had all the worshipers gathered for the celebration, the scout team started to guide the queue of devotees in a well-managed way, throughout the destination i.e. about 8 kilometers, from Gaighat to Kedareshwor. The volunteers also provided the devotees with water and fruit juices. They also helped in maintaining the environment neat and clean by collecting the plastic cups in which the juice was served.

Bol Bam is celebrated on every Monday in the month of Shrawan by the Hindu people. On the very day, women also worship the Lord Shiva, the God of Destruction. Today is the last Monday for this year’s Bol Bam.
