Kathmandu, May 31, 2018 : Koteshwor based Setiopi Youth Club is all set to organize an inter-school football tournament on the occasion of its silver jubilee.
According to the organizers, the tournament will be conducted on Modern Indian School (MIS) ground in Chovar. The games will be conducted on league cum knock out basis where the participating teams will be divided into two groups first and top to teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The games in the final and the semifinals will be held on knockout basis, the organizers have said.
Ten schools will be participating in the tournament. The participating schools are Modern Indian School (MIS), Kathmandu Model College, DAV School, Columbus Higher Secondary School, Kanjirowa Higher Secondary School, Grammar Public School, Kasthamandap Vidhyalaya, Laboratory Higher Secondary School, Pushpa Sadan and Rato Bangala.
Speaking at the news news conference on Wednesday, Rabi Rimal, president of the club, said that the tournament is an attempt by the club to revive its sports activities on a large. He also added that the scholarship worth twenty thousand rupees will be provided to the best player of the championship.
