Story Behind initiation of Venture
Your home describes your personality. In Nepal finding the company that customizes your furniture was really hard, so Mr. Lokendra also felt the same after that he started researching furniture business and its scope in Nepal, where he saw it very positive so he started the business. There is a yearly transaction of 500 million dollars in the furniture business in Nepal which was also another motivation for starting the business.
“According to the research, the furniture market size of Nepal is around 100-500 million USD per year according to the government data where furniture market growth rate is 10% and active internet users are around 6-7 million in Nepal which will positively help us to grow in the near future.” stated the founder.
Before he started furniture hub he was an IT professional who was working as a social media marketer. When he was doing marketing for other companies and businesses; an idea triggered in his mind to establish his own business. After few months he started a furniture Business and started marketing to the social media.
In Nepal, there was no L-shape sofa discovered and furniture hub was the first business to introduce L-shaped sofa in Nepal. “It is different than other furniture shops as we give them the right to customize the furniture according to their measurement, we also provide direct home delivery freshly from the factory and another main point is that there are 10 years of warranty in our every product.” said the founder.

For the future, the furniture hub is planning to expand the area of service as well as they are trying to make the Furniture hub better online furniture platform. They will be mainly focusing on importing and exporting the furniture’s which will help them grow faster.“I am working hard with my team to create the big market value for furniture hub as a top furniture brand” Mr. Lokendra concluded the future plans
Furniture Hub has taken furniture item “sofa” as their first product for market research. “We have already sold 300+ custom-made high-quality sofa designs to happy customers which motivated us to do more to make the customers happy.” Added Mr. Lokendra. Furniture hub gets clients via social media marketing(mainly with FaceBook because of 7 million users at Nepal). Currently,the company have150000 followers on facebook who are helping to grow the business.
Mr. Lokendra says, “We are planning to open big showroom soon. Because many customers want to look and feel furniture products directly. We have predicted our sales will godouble with the opening of a big showroom.” They wants to tie up with more furniture factories and furniture wholesalers where they can add more furniture items besides sofas. They have also planned for introducing interior design part as well and provide instalment payment facility for customers.
Delivery of furniture is the major challenge to the company right now. They have been doing delivery within one day inside valley and 3 days outside valley. There are challenges to deliver outside valley within the number of days as per the founder. The founder expressed,“So whenever we face the certain problem and cannot deliver the products it feels really hard in the business. Every skilled people are going abroad, so for now getting the skilled peoples are really tough.”
