Kathmandu, 12 August, 2015: On the occasion of International Youth day 2015 with the theme of Youth Civic engagement, National Level Interaction program on ‘Youth Vision 2025: Youth Participation in Rebuilding Post-Earthquake Nepal’ kicked off today at Kathmandu.
The Program was jointly organized by Dynamic Youth Forum, RPYC, JCYCN, Yes-Nepal and more than a dozen youth NGOs of National and international level in collaboration with Ministry of Youth and Sports of Nepal government.
The chief guest of the program was Hon. Minister Mr. Purushottam Poudel of Youth and Sports, Nepal government and other guest speakers were Pradip Poudel from Nepali Congress, Rachana Khadka from CPN (UML) and Yogendra Shahi, coordinator of Youth Vision 2025, Ghanshyam Pandey of Green Foundation and Tilottam Poudel of JCYCN) shared their views and interacted actively with the participants in the topic the program. Chairing the program, Amrit Devkota President of Dynamic Youth forum focused on the vital role of youth participation in rebuilding new Nepal after earthquake.
‘Youth should come to the executive level of leadership and lead the nation, then only change is possible”, Devkota said. Chief guest Hon. Minister Purusottam Poudel said. “Youth Vision 2025 has tried to address the various issues of youth and youth themselves should be aware about their rights and duties and government is trying its best for the development of youthâ€.
More than 100 youth from various districts participated in the program.
