Team Rudra Wins the Second Edition of Hult Prize at Pokhara University 2018/19

Kathmandu, December 15, 2018: Pokhara University has successfully concluded the second edition of Hult Prize at Pokhara University that was held on 13th December 2018 at the Nepal Tourism Board. Team ‘Rudra’ from Apex College won the competition with the winning idea focused on recycled plastic products. Similarly, Team ‘One Step’ from Nepal Engineering College was the runner-up of the event finale and their idea was based on air pollution. There was the participation of twelve teams from Pokhara University and affiliated colleges competed in the on-campus event. 

The program was judged by a panel of 7 judges namely, Prof. Dr. Sunity Shrestha Hada– President, Operational Research Society of Nepal (ORSN), Mr. Narottam Aryal – Executive Director at Kings College, Mr. Hari Kumar Silwal – Chartered Accountant, Mr. Rohit Tiwari – CEO of Food Mario, Mr. Avash Koirala – Director, Jobs Dynamics Pvt. Ltd. , Mr. Bishnu Karki – Business Manager at Mero Job and Mr. Jiten Shrestha, Lecturer, Kathmandu University.

Center for Applied and Rural Development (CARRD), in association with Daraz, and was sponsored by Environment and Resource Management Consultants (ERMC Nepal) and Aarogya Education Visa and Migration Pvt. Ltd organized the program. The Innovative Partner was NIIT Kathmandu Centre, Academic Partner was Nepal Engineering College and Apex College. Similarly, Food Mario was the Food partner and Digital Media Partner was Theme Nepal. Glocal Khabar was the Online Media Partner andAbhiyaan was the Print Media Partner. UG Cakes, being a Gift Partner, the program was supported by Nepal Tourism Board and Nepal Youth Council.
