Birgunj, October 23, 2018: In the current fiscal year, 51,680 vehicles were imported worth over 8 billion rupees according to the customs officials in Birgunj.
“Among the total revenue collected, 40 percent was via vehicles in the Birgunj Customs Office.”says, Santosh Yadav, Customs Officer.
The vehicles like Motorcycles, auto rickshaw, ambulances, tractors, jeeps, cars, vans, electric vehicles, buses, mini-buses and micro-buses were imported. These were imported from India and third world countries. Out of total vehicles imported, 90 percent was imported from India.
