A 17 years old Social Worker from Budhanilkantha, Ashna Poudel is a self-motivated and self-driven girl who not only wants the change, but wants to be the change.
Currently, Poudel is involved in the project ‘Sukarmi’, an initiative of Rooster Logic Pvt. Ltd. for girl empowerment that strives to make financially independent.
She has volunteered for Children’s Art Museum of Nepal (CAM) from where she went to government schools and taught the children there. She helped CAM Nepal successfully carry out various art workshops for children all over the Kathmandu Valley. She has also a track record of volunteering with Shiksha Nepal on different occasions.
Furthermore, has also conducted training to the science teachers from different schools, and taught science to the school-children with the help of SciTrek, a technical tool to teach practical science.
In 2015, Ashna was declared the winner for Think Ink Design Work Shop, an event where students or participants use critical thinking and problem solving to come up with something extraordinary.
Currently pursuing +2 degree at Brihaspati Vidyasadan, Ashna has a strong determination and dream to become an animation designer.
“I am determined to contribute something to my country from the field that I will be working on. I believe that the teenagers can make the impact,” she shared to Glocal Khabar.
Her journey of volunteerism has become an inspiration for many.
