Kathmandu, December 10, 2018: Asian Institute of Technology and Management (AITM) has successfully concluded NEF-CCN Inter-College Debate Championship on December 9, 2018. Students from the colleges like Little Angeles (LA) College, Xavier Academy (XA), Ideal Model School, Bhanubhakta Memorial College, Laboratory Higher Secondary School and AITM had participated in the championship.
In the English category, Xavier Academy was declared as the winner and Ideal Model School as the 1st runner up. Prajwal Shrestha (XA) and Jeevan Kattel from (LA) were felicitated with the ‘Best Speaker’ and second ‘Best Speaker’ respectively. Similarly, in the Nepali category, Bhanubhakta Memorial College won the tournament and AITM managed to be the 1st runner up. Shrijan Pandey from XA and Nishma Budhathoki from Bhanubhakta Memorial College were awarded with the ‘Best Speaker’ and second ‘Best Speaker’ respectively. Meanwhile, Aayog Pandey and Binod Raj Joshi were honored with the best Adjudicator and second Best Adjudicator respectively.
The tournament was directed by Abhibind Khaniya, the Vice President of Hopes of Change and General Member of DNN. All the awards and certificates of appreciation were distributed in the presence of Basant Raj Joshi (Head of IMI-BHM, AITM), Shyam Maharjan (Head of +2 School, AITM), Rabindra Raj Giri (Head of BE Civil AITM), Badal Pradhan (Principal of Xavier Academy), Ajay Pandey (CEO of Chaitanya Design) and Poonam Regmi (Representative from DNN).
