Lumbini, 13 Jan 2015:Â Financial activities in the Terai region came to a standstill due to the banda (general strike) called by the 30-party alliance.
Day to day activities along with financial transactions have been totally disrupted in the areas due to the banda.
The industries run in Lumbini corridor have faced billions of rupees in loss due to this, said Rishikesh Tiwari, chairman at the Paschimanchal Cement Production Association.
Goods produced by the industries located in the corridor could not be supplied to the market due to the transport halt.
Revenue collection at Bhairahawa Customs Office is also badly affected due to the banda.
