Pokhara, January 31, 2018: AspNetCommunity in association with Braindigit IT Solution, and Innovative Computer Engineering Students Society (i-CES) has successfully conducted ‘Tech Summit Pokhara Chapter’ on 29 January, 2018 at Paschimanchal Campus, Pokhara. Sixty students from Institute of Engineering Western Regional Campus (WRC) had participated in the Tech Summit.

The main purpose of the session was to help the students learn the OOP Concept and C#, ASP.NET Core 2.0, MVC & ASP.NET Identity, ASP.NET Core 2.0 & Web API, Xamarin Forms, Bot and its uses, and Microsoft Bot Framework.

Alok Kumar Pandey, CTO of Braindigit; Dev Raj Gautam, PM and AI Expert of Braindigit, and Shakti Shrestha, CTO of Sangrila Microsystem were the mentors in the workshop and learning session.

Tech Summit 1- Glocal Khabar

The first day of the summit was focused on OOP concept and C#. The participants got the basics of OOP and how C# supports all OOP implementations. Students created an application in C# which included Code reusability, inheritance, encapsulation and many more. Participants also learned how industry standard code is maintained and how group of developers work in a single project with abstraction. On the second half day, ASP.NET Core 2.0 was the main focus of the talk. Participants learned about the property of web application. With the help of Visual studio, a simple web application, learning was done with MVC architecture.

The second day emphasized on how authentication and authorization can be done in ASP.NET. All the participants did the integration of ASP.NET Identity and learned how to authorize the user in an application with smart authentication model. They also learned to build web API and secure it. On the second half day, they created Xamarin mobile apps for the Android, IOS, and UWP with Xamarin Forms. The session also underscored on how real-time application has the ecosystem of web, mobile, and desktop.

Tech Summit 3-Glocal Khabar

In the last session, the discussion was done on Bot and its pros in the industry application. The workshop in Bot development was done with Microsoft Bot Framework and bot publishing on different networks like Facebook and Skype.
