Kathmandu, March 6, 2017: Hyatt Regency Kathmandu in partnership with Media 9 Pvt. Ltd has organized ‘Hyatt WOW Women Achievers Awards 2017’ to mark the International Women’s Day in Kathmandu on Monday.
The program is organized under the theme, Be Bold for Change.
Women were honored at the gala event under five categories including entrepreneurship, arts, social activism/service, leadership and inspiring woman of the year.
The program started with a vedic chant by girls of Shree Gargi Kanya Gurukul School followed by empowering words by Sabrina Singh of Daayitwa and keynote speech by Maggie Doyne, CNN Hero 2015.
The awards were presented to Dikchhya Chapagai (Social Activism / Service), Mingma Dikki Sherpa (Entrepreneurship), Sumana Shrestha (Leadership), Deeya Maskey (The Arts) and Sapana Pradhan Malla (Inspiring Woman of the Year).
The program concluded with an inspiring speech by Ambassador/ Head of EU Delegation to Nepal Rensje Teerink.
The International Women’s Day is being marked on March 8 every year.
