Kathmandu, 9 December, 2017: Prakash Koirala, managing director at Finlit Nepal Pvt. Ltd, has been awarded Financial Innovation Award 2017, in recognization of his company’s effort to create financial literacy among the people of Nepal. The award was presented by The London Institute of Banking & Finance and UK Finance.”
Amid the award ceremony held in London, Koirala received the cash prize of 2500 pounds and a trophy.
After receiving the award, Koirala shared, “If this award stands for anything, it stands for the united spirit to eradicate financial exclusion in all of us. We did not make the journey here alone. Numerous people and organizations have supported us along the way. We are so grateful to all of them.”
FINLIT Nepal has been working in collaboration with banks and financial institution to help the people with low income and vulnerable group. It helps to make the people realize the importance of money and promotes medium scale business and cottage industries in the rural areas. The group also focuses on financial security and empowerment and works to eradicate poverty.
