Nepalese Society for Children’s Literature to organize Twenty-Fifth National Children’s Conference

Kathmandu, February 20, 2018: Nepalese Society for Children’s Literature (NESCHIL) is all set to organize ‘Twenty-fifth National Children’s Conference’ from March 8 to March 10, 2018, in Khotang.

According to Yashu Shrestha, Secretary of NESCHIL, the conference will feature presentation of working papers on the impact of folk literature in children’s literature, parents and children’s literature, child rights and duties in children’s literature. There will also be interaction session with teachers and guardians as well as children’s book.

The three- day conference will also comprise story writing, painting, poetry recitation and workshop with full involvement of children. Students, children along with writers, painters, editors, teachers, translators, singers, musicians, journalists, librarians, publishers will be taking part in the conference.

Since 1987, NESCHIL has been organizing children’s literature conference with a motive of supporting children’s creativity in literature and giving them a platform to expose their potentiality in literature. It also helps to develop reading habit among the children.
