Lalitpur, March 26, 2018: The second edition of Women’s International Debating Championship, VidhuShe 2018 is going to be held from 30th March to 2nd April 2018 at Patan College for professional studies, Kupondole, Lalitpur. The championship is exclusively for the Women debaters in the British Parliament (BP) Format.
Across the communities of debate worldwide, it has been a well-known practice to organize tournaments by and for the women. Understanding the actual need of organizing one in Nepal, all the organizing members as well as the participants are committed to the cause of women and upholding of values concerning their rights and freedoms.
In the British Parliamentary format based debate, four two-member teams that are divided into two sides- Government and opposition, defend and oppose a motion or debate on a topic for an hour.
The championship is four days long which includes a training, group stage, knockout rounds, grand finale, and award ceremony.
