KATHMANDU: Fusemachines, which has been the leading provider of Artificial Intelligence Solutions and Softwares to various industries of Nepal, now looks forward to organizing the first ever AI Expo in Nepal in association with Artificial Intelligence for Development (AID).

The AI Expo will be held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza, Kathmandu on August 24.

The expo will provide the participating students, enthusiasts and professionals a chance to know more on how artificial intelligence works, what all can it be used for and how does applied AI look like. Not only that, the participants could also build viable prototypes during the expo.

Mr. Sameer Maskey, Founder and CEO of Fusemachines, stated “The expo will help participants understand more about Artificial Intelligence. Alongside that, the participants will also get a chance to network and collaborate with mentors, experts and professionals from the technical field to build viable prototypes. This will provide them hands-on-experience with AI.”

Adding to that, Mr. Kshitiz Rimal, Head of Research at Artificial Intelligence for Development said, “Even though, enough AI solutions have not been implemented in Nepal until now, we don’t want it to be the case for future. We know that our youth has enough potential to establish Nepal as a knowledge and technology center in coming days. With our expo, we want to make an announcement to the world that Nepal is now ready to move forward in the cutting edge area of technologies and artificial intelligence.”

The organizing of such an expo for the first time in itself shows that Nepalese young minds are now ready to grasp the fast-paced technological developments. Such events could be an indication of Nepal’s preparation towards becoming a well-built knowledge center.
