Kathmandu, November 30, 2018: Art Summit Travel and Tours is coordinating a campaign to foster the plastic-free Society from the mountain to the Terai region. The campaign will start from Rara which is located at an altitude of 2972 metres above sea level on December 2, 2018.
Som Bahadur Tamang, Managing Director of the Art Summit Travel and Tours mentioned,” The campaign is going to be launched from mountainous districts to Tarai as plastic products have an adverse impact on the environment and human health.”
With a motive to prohibit the use of plastic bags and other plastic-based products, the organisers are planning to clean an area of seven kilometres from Tallomili to Rara. As per the plan, 15 dustbins will be placed in every 500 metres at different places on the tract to mark the beginning of the campaign.
