Kathmandu, 22 September 2015: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has once again urged the disgruntled parties to come for talks, saying the government was ready to resolve problem surfaced in Tarai through talks. At a tea reception organised by the Nepal Students Union (NSU) on the occasion of the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal, 2072, Prime Minister Koirala presented the fact that the 10-year armed conflict was also settled through the talks and expressed the view that the existing problem would also be settled through the talks.
He further said that the agitating parties should also create environment conducive for talks by adopting flexibility.
Stating that the seven-decade dream of the Nepali people of drafting constitution through their representatives has now been fulfilled, PM Koirala said all should welcome it. He also laid emphasis on taking the country towards peace, development and law and order as the new constitution has already been promulgated. The prime Minister said that time has come to play a special role by students for the prosperity of the country.
Deputy prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Prakashman Singh, Minister for Information and Communications Technology, Dr Minendra Rijal, Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel, General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula, Nepali Congress central committee members, lawmakers and student leaders associated to different political parties were present on the occasion.
