UML Chair Oli Says Budget For The Fiscal Year 2015-16 As ‘Biased’

Kathmandu, July 15: The budget presented by the government for the fiscal year 2015-16 has been termed as ‘biased’ and ‘one sided’ by CPN (UML) chair KP Sharma Oli

lawmaker Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal said that leader Oli urged the ruling party Nepali Congress to be sensitive towards flaws in the budget in a meeting of the party parliamentary meeting held at the Constituent Assembly (CA) building New Baneshwor. He added while analyzing the budget, it seemed that the Congress dealt with unilaterally and the UML would move ahead by protesting this.

During the meeting the merits and demerits of the budget were discussed that was presented at the Legislature-Parliament Tuesday. Party Vice-chair Bidhya Bhandari, leader Surendra Pandey and Chief Whip Agni Prasad Kharel were present in the meeting.

The budget reflected political colour, stated party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal. He mentioned that it was brought even without open discussions with the ruling partner and expressed that the party was hurt by this.

Furthermore, he accused the budget for the upcoming fiscal year has not given priority to the projects of national pride and due respect to programmes bearing the name of Pushpa Lal, Madan Bhandari like leaders.
