‘Age is just a number’ is promptly proven by this 19 year old boy who recently founded Kartal Advertising Pvt. Ltd. along with his three friends. Currently studying Diploma in Civil Engineering at Sunsari Technical College, Dharan, Abhishek is passionate about growing the marketing field led by the youth.
Starting of his journey
Abhishek’s journey of dreaming big started with an innocent curiosity which he touched up as,”May be, I was studying in class 6 at that time. It was an English period and there was a small river near our school. One day, I randomly asked my teacher if I could generate hydro power from that river. He smiled and replied, yes, if you can dream about it then obviously you can do it. He knew that it was impossible because water used to flow once a year at that small seasonal river however he led my curiosity to a certain direction of possibility and hope”.
Adhikari also referred how he and his brothers seldom used to share new ideas of business that can be started with low investment. The idea of opening an advertisement company popped up in reference when one of his brothers mentioned an advertisement being relayed through a big LED screen at the center of the city (Itahari). This episode triggered the business mind of Abhishek and this is how, the story of Kartal started.
Making a difference
Entrepreneurship is not solely based on organizational profit but also about the positive impact that it creates in the society.Through his company, Abhishek not only has been serving his customers but also has been awaring people by displaying contents with positive message like traffic rules and child rights.
The company designs and broadcasts all types of advertisement for different local/large scale businesses digitally at mostly visited places like restaurant, tea shop, hospitals, etc. with the help of 42 inch HD Screen.
A step towards teen hero
Sharing his contentment, Abhishek said,”It was like a dream come true when I knew I was selected as one of the Glocal’s 20 under 20. The very first moment when I read about Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero 2018 in a newspaper, I decided to use this opportunity to showcase my initiation as a young entrepreneur and inspire others”.
Abhishek is really optimistic about visualizing himself as a successful entrepreneur in upcoming five years. He aims to make the name ‘Kartal’ as a leading brand of Nepal and expand its services. He is a true role model who has shown that Nepal is a good place for the development of any business. The only thing that requires is the passion to start and progress.
He also said , “My parents’ trust and support is what that makes me the person I am today.The society must have a belief in their child’s dream and one day, they will definitely be proud for their decision. I am a reflective example of this.”
