Kathmandu, September 11, 2018: Women with Vision 2018 was successfully held on August 25 at Royal Empire Boutique Hotel where 10 aspiring working women were awarded for their contribution and dedication on their respective fields.

The event had 10 major categories with 54 nominees which were chaired by Mrs. Bhagbati Chaudhary, Chairman, Forward Microfinance and Ex-State Minister. The jury members were Shanti Chadda, Heema K. Adhikari, Mansi Agrawal, Neelum Tamrakar, Rachana Thapa, Shivili Rana, and Saraswoti Maharjan were the jury members. Along with the award program, they also had Expo of products of Nominees where around 250 viewers participated.Ms. Nikita Chandak was present in the event as Goodwill Ambassador with other celebrities like Rojina Shrestha, Sahara Basnet, Shraddha Prasai, Sugairka Shrestha and Sushmita Sapkota.

The winners of the program were Shanti Laxmi Shakya, Deputy MD of Nepal Electric Authority as Corporate Women Of The Year, Shrijana Subedi, Member of Nepal Investor Forum as Business Women Of The Year, Aarti Chataut, Director of Nepal Television as Media Person Of The Year, Amrita Gautam, PhD Scholar at Technical University of Cologne as Academician Of The Year, Indira Ranamagar, Founder of Prisoners Assistance Nepal as People’s Favorite Of The Year, Kanchan Amatya, ED of Sustainable Fish Farming Initiative as Youth Icon Of The Year, Madhu Todi, Director at MCKS Pranic Healing Trust Nepal as Intrapreneur Of The Year, Bidhata KC, a Visual Artist as Artist Of The Year, Ram Kumari Jhakri, CCM at Nepal Communist Party as Politician Of The Year and Sandhya Shakya, GM at Live and Lead as Public Choice Of The Year. All the winners shall be Leaders of the Entrepreneurs club where different incubation programs will be conducted to grow industries and business enterprises in Nepal.

The planning for Women with vision 2018 was started in January 2018 where Regional Society of Trade and Commercial Angels (RSTCA) Foundation started to collect nominations all across the nation via research and call for nominations. RSTCA has been working since 2014 to promote skills-based training, entrepreneurs support, Investment support and management consulting support to many business houses in Nepal. RSTCA Foundation representative Mr. Saswot Raj Sharma, says “Women represent 51% and the majority of the population of Nepal. To grow a nation and change its paradigm there need to be unity and respect for Ethical and Hard working people. With this concept, we have Jury, Nominees, and Ambassador who have done huge contribution to our society and award is just a way to unite all and make entrepreneurship flourish via networking and healthy competition.”
