Kathmandu, February 9, 2018: Kathmandu University’s Department of Bio Chemistry in coalition with Institute of Medicine, Dhulikhel Hospital, Research Institute for BioScience and Bio-Technology, Nepal and Institute for Molecular Medicine, Finland is set to organize ‘The International Conference on Biology and Bio Technology’ from February 17 to February 21, 2018, in Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre.
The event is being organized in order to unravel the importance of bio-banking and transnational medicine research. Seventeen scientists from Finland, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and India will be presenting their work papers on bioscience and biotechnology.Prajwal Rajbandhari, the organizing committee member, mentioned that the participating members will present a paper for establishing first biobank in Nepal.
The main aim of the biobank is to collect and dispel samples of human blood cell and other body organs for research. The biobank will address preliminary queries related to age, disease and growth and development of human body.
