Kathmandu,26 Nov 2014: Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed has said that physical connectivity was essential to link territories as well as the communities in the region.
And for this our approaches needs to be more realistic and mutually beneficially for a more progressive South Asia, she added.
Addressing the inaugural session of the 18th SAARC summit underway at City hall today, the Bangladeshi Prime Minister said poverty hinders peace and development in the region, and poses a big challenge to the region.
She also called upon the member states of the SAARC to set aside their differences and focus on cooperation for betterment of the lives of the people in the region.
