Bhaktapur, February 26, 2018: In a meeting held by recently elected provincial and parliamentary members, local level office bearers and other concerned sectors and organizations in Madhyapur Thimi, a clean-up campaign has been set up to clean Hanumante River in Bhaktapur from coming March 3, 2018.
Mahesh Basnet, Member of Parliamentary informed that the campaign will start from a bridge connecting Kaushaltar of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Balkot of Suryabinayak Municipality.The meeting chaired by the Basnet and the campaigners of Bagmati Clean-up Mega Campaign formed the main committee of Hanumante River Clean-up Campaign with coordination of Mayor Basu Dev Thapa of Suryabinayak Municipality.
Anjana Madhikarmi, Deputy Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality has been named deputy coordinator of the committee with ward chairpersons of Bhaktapur, Madhyapur Thimi and Suryabinayak municipalities as committee members.
