Birat Expo to kick off from tomorrow

Biratnagar, February 21, 2017: The Chamber of Industries Morang is all set to kick off the Birat Expo-2073 on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition, Chamber’s Chairman Mukesh Upadhyaya shared.

The industrial fair will showcase a total of 254 stalls including industrial products, agricultural products, herbs, agricultural tools, information and technology, alternate energy sources, automobiles and parts, handicraft items, electronic gadgets, domestic tools and drinks.

An employment fair will also be held during the exposition. Aspiring workers may avail of information to find out if any industries are in need for recruiting staff.

An hour-long mountain flight will also be offered on a helicopter during the expo for promoting internal tourism. The mountain flight with individual ticket price set at Rs 7,500 will offer close up views of Mt Kanchenjunga, Mt Makalu and Mt Everest Base Camp.

The Birat Expo will continue for a week and expects to make transaction ranging from Rs 400 to 500 million by drawing more than 300,000 visitors including customers from India’s Bihar, West Bengal and other locations.
