Successful Nepali made into the list of Forbes 30 under 30 Asia 2018

Kathmandu, March 28, 2018: Forbes released its annual 30 under 30 Asia 2018 list where 4 Nepali entrepreneurs, Ayushi KC from Khalisisi, Anjal Niraula from Gham Power, Eco-Cell Industries and Kanchan Amatya who is an activist have made into the list this year.

The annual list of “Forbes” annual list is packed with innovators and disruptors who are transforming their companies and changing Asia for better.

In 2018 India and China have dominated the list with 65 and 59 honorees whereas, with four entrees, Nepal has also fared pretty well on the list.

The list has been divided into thirteen different categories: Big Money; Celebrities; Consumer Technology; Entertainment & sports; Finance & Venture Capital; Healthcare & Science; Industry, Manufacturing & Energy; Media, Marketing & Advertising, Retail & E-commerce; Social Entrepreneurs, The Arts, and Youngest.

 

Aayushi KC

Ayushi KC who is a 28-year-old entrepreneur is enlisted in Forbes 30 under 30. She is the founder of Khalisisi, a platform where peoples and organization can connect the garbage collectors (Khalisisi Friends). She is working in a motive towards zero-waste in Nepal. She founded Khalsisi Management Pvt. Ltd, before she worked for USAID. Khalisisi Management Pvt. Ltd. Currently connects over 13,000 recyclable waste-buyers to waste-sellers. She has been listed under the social entrepreneur’s category.

 Anjal Niraula

Anjal Niraula 28 years old guy who is managing director of Gham Power. Gham power is a company that develops solar micro-grid and commercial off-grid system. Having started in Nepal in 2010, the company has already installed 2.5MW of solar micro-grids across more than 2000 projects. Niraula is listed under the industry, manufacturing & energy category, he is also a member of the world Energy council’s future energy leader program.

 

Eco-Cell Industries

In the wake of the 2015 earthquake to create a fast, cheap way to reconstructing buildings Nishan Shrestha, Sachet Pandit, and Subash Shrestha founded Eco-Cell Industries. This startup manufactures economic, environment-friendly, earthquake-resistant building materials. The startup has created interlocking bricks, made mostly of soil and 10% cement, which are then compressed by machine. They also provide pieces of training, supply machinery and provide necessary calculations. The Start up is also listed under the Social Entrepreneurs Category.

Kanchan Amatya

Kanchan Amatya who is 23-years old activist and Entrepreneur is the founder of Sustainable Fish Farming Initiative (SFFI). SFFI is specialized in solving food insecurity and poverty through sustainable aquaculture. Kanchan Amatya is another youngster who has made the list of the Social Entrepreneurs category. SFII provides the women in rural areas with access to finance, technology, local assets, and training. Amatya also serves as UN Women’s Global Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment. The work done by Kanchan Amatya has also been recognized by the former US President Bill Clinton, The government of Nepal and the United Nations.
